New version 2.3.0 of mBDL mobile application

The new mBDL update – version 2.3.0 is now available!

We are pleased to announce that our mBDL mobile app has received further improvements that will make using it even more convenient and functional.

The most important changes in version 2.3.0:

Application adapted to the latest operating system version.
Improved route recording mechanism.
Improved data download for offline use.
Improved legend presentation in offline mode.
Improved measurement export to KML/GPX files.
Improved data upload mechanism from WMS services.

The Bureau of Forest Management and Geodesy, as part of its work on the Forest Data Bank, has prepared a study presenting the results of updating the forest area and timber resources as of January 1, 2024 for forests outside the management of the State Forests National Forest Holding. The publication covers the following forms of ownership: private forests, communal forests, State Treasury forests in national parks, forests in the State Treasury Agricultural Property Stock and other State Treasury forests. The study, as to form, refers to the publication of update data for forests under the management of the State Forests.

We have released new 2.2.0 version of mBDL mobile application. It contains such modifications:

We have made changes to the window for downloading data for offline work.
We have added sorting the list of points and routes by creation date.
We have improved the saving of points after searching for them by coordinates.
We have added the ability to enter labels/descriptions for data from KML/GPX files.
We have improved the operation of the "Share my location" function on iOS devices.
We have made changes to selected application windows.
We have introduced a new message for the forest entry prohibited map.

New version 3.52.0 of the BDL portal

We have released a new 3.52.0 version of the BDL portal, where we have made the following modifications:

We have added new thematic maps: Fire roads and Forest monitoring.
We have added a layer of Cultural heritage objects to the tourist infrastructure map.
We have repaired the inclusion of the Orthophotomap as a background map.
We have modified the display of the legend for maps added as a WMS service.

New version 2.0.0 of mBDL mobile application

We have released new version of mBDL mobile application for Android phones. It contains such modifications:

1. We changed the technology of preparing the application.
2. We modified selected elements of the application interface. Among other things, we introduced:
a. new graphics of buttons on the map,
b. new design of the main menu,
c. we renamed Local data to Offline maps,
d. we removed the item Work on local data.
3. We added new buttons in the route registration tool to temporarily pause route registration and disable registration from the map window.
4. We improved notifications informing about active route registration - in the main bar of the phone.
5. We simplified the appearance and principle of the tourist map.
6. We added the ability to save a point from the search, for example, a forest subarea. As you click on the teardrop with the searched location, a menu will appear with the possibility of saving point or deleting the selection.
7. We added the ability to download data packages for the Słowiński National Park.
8. We modified the Basemaps menu, among other things, we added an orthophotomap and NMT from GUGIK. Previously, these maps were available in the WMS Maps tab.
9. We modified the mechanism for attaching a log file to the message being sent.
10. We simplified the offline data control.

We have released a new 3.51.0 version of the BDL portal, where we have made the following modifications:

We have prepared and shared a new thematic map "Forest management".

1. We have made improvements and corrections to the measuring tools, including adding the ability to delete a selected measurement and improving the display results on a map.

We have released a new 3.49.1 version of the BDL portal, where we have made the following modifications:

1. We have extended the measurement tool so that it is possible to measure several objects simultaneously (e.g. several polygons or distances).
2. We have improved several other elements of the measurement tool, including the visibility of the measurement result on the map after it has been completed.
3. We have added the ability to load files packed in folders.
4. We have improved the zooming of the map into the loaded KML/GPX/SHP file.
5. We have improved the mechanism for loading data from WMS/WMTS.
6. We have added a message at the start of the map informing of the illustrative character of data presented in maps.
7. We have added links in the footer of the page leading to the YouTube channel and Facebook profile.
8. We have introduced minor changes in selected elements of the portal interface.

We have released new version of mBDL mobile application for Android phones. It contains such modifications:

We have added the possibility to open the permalink generated on the map in the BDL portal using the mobile application.
We have added the possibility to share/save measurements in KML/GPX files. Such files can also be reloaded in the "Shp, kml, gpx files" menu.
We have added the ability to save points and routes to separate KML/GPX files.
We have added the ability to load a ZIP file in which KML and GPX data are stored simultaneously.
We have increased the area limit for downloading data to offline by area from the map. Currently, the limit is 20 thousand hectares. In the option of downloading data by area from the map, the OSM base map is also downloaded.
We have made minor changes in the operation of other tools.
