Digital Accessibility Status
This mobile application is partially compliant with the Annex to the Act on Digital Accessibility of 4 April 2019 on the digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies due to the non-compliances and exemptions listed below.
Inaccessible Content
Non-compliance with the Annex
- On the main map screen, some graphic buttons, including map-tool, location, and legend buttons, do not have correct names describing their function for VoiceOver. The screen reader reads some of them only as "button", and the map-tools button is sometimes read as "spendescription off, button".
- In many slide-out views, VoiceOver exposes the back button, title, and all the actual content as one combined element; individual tabs and controls are not available separately.
- In "BDL Maps", the currently selected map is distinguished only by a color change.
- In dark mode, the white text of the selected item on a light-blue background has insufficient contrast (approximately 1.6:1).
- At the maximum system text size, the "Search" title is truncated, and in the main menu it is not possible to scroll the list to all functions.
- The application does not support basic functions using an external keyboard; interface elements cannot be navigated to or activated, and basic actions require touch.
- When attempting to use an external keyboard, no visible focus indicator appears.
- On the main screen, a VoiceOver user must move through all elements in sequence; there is no mechanism for skipping the repeated set of controls.
- There is essentially one navigation path to the main functions and areas of the application; no alternative mechanisms for reaching important screens were identified.
- After switching the application to English, VoiceOver reads English content using Polish pronunciation, for example "Save my location".
- After saving a location, VoiceOver does not automatically convey confirmation that the operation has been completed.
Content Not Covered by the Regulations
- The cartographic content presented in the map view is not covered by the provisions of the Act pursuant to Article 3(2)(4) of the Act on Digital Accessibility, concerning maps and interactive maps, including geoportals. The exemption does not cover the application interface elements or functions used, among other things, for searching, location, route recording, and navigation to a point, which were included in the digital accessibility assessment.
Preparation and Updating of the Accessibility Declaration
- Date of preparation of the declaration:
- Date of the last review of the declaration:
The declaration was updated on the basis of a self-assessment carried out in the form of an expert review of a representative sample of screens and functionalities of the mBDL application for iOS.
The results of the review are presented in the "Expert Review Report on Compliance with the Annex to the Act on Digital Accessibility - Bank Danych o Lasach mBDL mobile application for iOS”.
