The boundaries of natural and forest regionalization in the form of regions and mesoregions come from the 2010 study "Nature and Forest Regionalization of Poland," authored by Roman Zielony and Alina Kliczkowska and published by the State Forests Information Center in 2012. This data is available on most thematic maps on the portal.
